Central Otago stretches from Lindis Pass and down to the South-East of Otago, incorporating small townships such as St Bathans and Alexandra. Driving through this area provides some amazing views of the St Bathans range, which looks incredible with a snow cap on.
Although falling just outside of the area, included in this gallery are photos from some stunning mornings at Moeraki Boulders, near Oamaru, including a dream sunrise that delivered many changing colours in the sky.
The city of Dunedin is classically known as the student town of New Zealand, but is a vibrant city in its own right. I have recently spent more time in this area, photographing locations such as Tunnel Beach and the ruined St Clair Pier at sunset, Hoopers Inlet at sunrise and the secret gem of Nicols Falls right in the heart of the city. There is still so much in this area I would like to explore.
Dunedin is also home to many historic buildings and houses, the most notable being Otago University and the Dunedin Railway Station.
