2018 Hobby Vantana K65 ET - 105,000km - Diesel - 6-speed auto/comfortmatic

Great upgrades! Please click photos below to view gallery with descriptions.

I have had this campervan since 2020 and it has been my pride and joy! Serviced every year, cambelt and water pump done. Service history available for time in my care. Lithium battery and solar upgrade makes this perfect for off the grid freedom camping.  Fully insulated to European standards, with double glazed Perspex windows. Super warm inside even in winter. Hobby Vantana is designed and built in Germany, and is on a Fiat Ducato chassis.

Great to drive, on a WOF, feels just like a big car/van. Lots of power for hills but small enough to fit in many carparks.

Comes with gas bottles, television (I have removed it from wall but will put it back), snow chains, CO2 monitor, smoke alarm, 240V power cord, grey water hose and fresh water hose. Hobby Vantana manual plus Fiat Ducato manual.

Is this ex-dealer?

Yes I purchased from Wilderness during Covid. Van had 62k when I purchased in 2020 and I viewed the service history which showed excellent, regular servicing and authorised Fiat Agent. I have put 42k on the clock during several trips around New Zealand, van has not skipped a beat!

Is there an awning or a tow bar?

No awning. No towbar. Also no bike racks but you can put bikes in if you pin one bed up.

Why are you selling?

I have no time for NZ trips over the next couple of years as I have some major international holidays booked. She will not get much use and there is a lot of money tied up and also spent on storage and insurance etc…. and so I have decided to pass her to another family for more love. I am a bit worried I will be filled with regret!!

What servicing/work been done?

It has been routinely serviced every year. Cambelt and water pump replaced in 2023, also break pads were changed and rotors done. I had a new vehicle battery fitted in 2024 as the old one was not holding charge well. I have had two fuel injectors replaced and also the windscreen when it got a huge stone chip. I also replaced two front tyres. Otherwise just normal servicing, which generally costs around $700 - $800 per year. I had the Truma gas heater serviced last year as well. It has passed every WOF with no problems.

House battery life?

As a photographer I do drive a lot, which charges the house batteries. However when I spend a couple of days in one place, I have ample battery. The solar panel is excellent as it can still catch charge at low angles and in low light. If it were cloudy for days, then I would plug in to 240V but I have not had to do that since getting the Lithium batteries installed.

Any known issues?

The only thing I know about is that the electronic step is jammed. I think there is some gravel in it and probably easy to fix. Also there is a small blown light bulb when the slider door is opened and one hub cap is missing.  Otherwise I have serviced everything and fixed anything not working!

Any extras?

For $1,500 extra buyer can have full fit out of personal effects including sheets, towels, cutlery and crockery, thick woollen duvets, quality pillows, mini vacuum, cleaning supplies, pots and pans, kettle etc

Where are you based?

I am in Wellington. I am happy to relocate for a buyer, but this would require a firm purchase and a non-refundable deposit to cover my costs (TBC depending on location).
